New Arrangement – One/Made For Lovin’ You

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a medley of One by Three Dog Night and I Was Made For Lovin’ You by Kiss.

This SATB arrangement works perfectly as a change of pace after an opener, or as a transition number after a ballad. The chart begins with the soft dramatic opening of One, before transitioning into the harder rock drive of the Kiss tune. There is a lot of back and forth between the bass and treble clef singers in the verses with full ensemble singing in the chorus. A dance break featuring the return of the Three Dog Night melody replaces the second chorus. From there, we pull back the dynamic a bit and build into a final chorus, the first half of which is a cappella before modulating into the second half. This arrangement was originally written for Red Hot from Hurricane High School in West Virginia.

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals.

New Arrangement – Night of Your Life/It’s My Night

It’s the final week of daily New Arrangement Spotlight videos. We’ve shared a lot of arrangements of the last couple months, but it still wasn’t even half of the new arrangements we added to the catalog on March 1st. Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a mashup of Night of Your Life and It’s My Night, both by WAR*HALL.

This SATB closer begins with the slow burn of Night of Your Life before kicking into the faster drive of It’s My Night. There aren’t a ton of bells and whistles with this one – no solos – just high energy ensemble vocals and killer dance breaks that will be the short punchy closer to end your show with a bang and leave the audience wanting more. This arrangement was originally written for West Side Delegation from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar

New Arrangement – Turn the Page

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is Turn the Page by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.

This SATB second number is soft and intense until it builds into it’s big moments. The chart begins with a bass clef solo eventually backed up by the choir until they take over at the chorus. The second verse contains back and forth between the treble and bass clef singers and then builds into a huge vocal moment that kicks into a faster dance break. Out of the dance break comes an a cappella chorus over drums at the original tempo, the band builds back in and there is a layered vocal ending. This arrangement was originally written for the Hillside Singers from Pleasant Hill High School in Missouri.

The track features Brian McCallister and Ines Cring on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar.

New Arrangement – When I’m Good

This week’s New and Never Performed Friday Release is a mashup of When I’m Gone by Katy Perry & Alesso, and I’m Good by David Guetta & Bebe Rexha.

This SATB closer begins with a vocal statement from When I’m Gone that immediately kicks into a dance break. Out of the dance break a treble solo takes the lead, eventually backed up by the choir, who takes the lead at the chorus. The end of the chorus builds into a dance break from I’m Good. After this dance break is a verse and chorus that builds into another dance break. Coming out of this dance break is a short hit section from When I’m Gone, which modulates into a final chorus from I’m Good, a short dance break reprise and ending. This chart is new and has never been performed – your choir could be the first!

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar.
