New Arrangement – Light Up the Night/Delight

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a mashup of Light Up the Night and Delight, both by Jamie Berry.

This SATB 2nd number is a seamless mashup of two songs in a retro roaring 20’s swing style. The chart begins with a treble solo before the choir takes over at the chorus… of the other song. There’s a lot of back and forth between the two tunes, a big dance break, and an a cappella shout chorus after the dance break before it modulates into a final chorus, dance break reprise and ending. This arrangement was originally written for Fast Lane from Glenwood Community High School in Iowa.

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals, and Steve Cochran on guitar.

New Arrangement – Nothing Stopping Me

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is Nothing Stopping Me by Vicetone featuring Kat Nestal.

This SATB opener begins slowly and softly with a treble solo. The choir eventually comes in under the soloist with descending polyphonic lines playing off the lyrics the soloist is singing. The soloist takes back the spotlight to finish this opening section out by alone before the drum kicks off an opening dance break. Out of the dance break is a verse and chorus building into another dance break. The soloist makes a return, as do the descending polyphonic lines, in the bridge which pulls the energy back a bit before building into a key change and final chorus. This arrangement was originally written for Synergy from Johnston High School in Iowa.

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar.
