Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a medley of Check It Out by Oh the Larceny, and All About It by Jamie Lono.

This SATB transition medley is designed to split your group in half for a costume change with half the group performing each number and then everyone back on stage to close it out before a closer. Each half is written is SAB, has a verse, chorus, dance break, and then another bit of chorus to close it out before transitioning on to the new section. The last chunk combines both of the tunes with everyone back on stage. This arrangement was originally written for Surround Sound from Bettendorf High School in Iowa.

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a medley of Farewell by Marliina, and Coming Out of the Dark by Gloria Estefan.

This SSA ballad begins with the hauntingly beautiful melody of Farewell sung by the full ensemble. The verse builds into the chorus which then transitions into a solo on the verse of Coming Out of the Dark. The ensemble backs up the soloist and eventually takes over on the chorus. This is followed by an a cappella portion that features back and forth between the choir and soloist and builds to a dramatic ending. This arrangement was originally written for High Heeled Harmony from Naperville North High School in Illinois.

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a mashup of White Flag by Bishop Briggs and White Flag by Joseph.

This SATB second number is beautifully intense with a powerful message. The chart begins with the full ensemble on the Bishop Briggs tune before transitioning into a treble clef solo on the Joseph tune. The choir eventually takes over on the chorus which is followed by an abridged second verse that builds into a big dance break. From there we pull back into a bit of a bridge before building back into a final chorus and ending. This arrangement was originally written for Visual Adrenaline from Ankeny High School in Iowa.

This week’s New and Never Performed Friday release is Broken & Beautiful by Kelly Clarkson.

This SSA chart is versatile in that it can be used to open or close a treble clef show, or be used as a treble feature within a mixed show. The arrangement begins with a an extended solo backed up by the choir building to the chorus which is a lot of back and forth between the soloist and choir. The choir takes over a an abridged second verse which builds into the big dance break. The soloist returns for a pull back moment coming out of the dance break before it kicks back into a final chorus and ending. This arrangement is new and has never been performed, your choir could be the first!

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is Konichiwild by Secret Weapons.

This SATB second number has a laid back, yet funky groove. There aren’t any solos in this one, but there is a lot of back and forth vocals between the treble and bass clef voices. There’s a big dance break where you could feature a guitar player or just let the horn melody soar. Out of the dance break there is a build section that keeps adding parts as it builds into the final chorus, part of which is a cappella. This arrangement was originally written for West Side Delegation from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
