New Arrangement – Get Away Medley

Today’s New for 2023 Featured Arrangement is a medley of Get Away by Danny Gokey and Getaway Car by Taylor Swift.

This SATB costume change medley starts and ends with everyone on stage, but transitions everyone through a costume change and then brings everyone back together to set up a closer. The chart begins with a vocal statement of Get Away by the full ensemble before the treble clef singers take over with Getaway Car. There is a trio in this section with a lot of back and forth between the trio and the ensemble. After a verse and chorus there is a dance break and final vocal statement before it transitions into the bass clef singers and back into Get Away. This tune begins with the full ensemble, but a soloist takes over and this builds into a chorus and big dance break after which the full group reunites for a final chorus and ending. This arrangement was originally written for Ovation from O’Gorman High School in South Dakota.

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar.
