Those who know me know how much I love Moulin Rouge, so this one was especially enjoyable to work on!

New Arrangement – Bad Guy/Steppin’ to the Bad Side

Today’s new for 2023 arrangement is a mashup of Bad Guy by Billy Eilish and Steppin’ to the Bad Side from Dreamgirls.

This SATB 2nd number begins with the Billie Eilish tune, transitions into the Dreamgirls before transitioning back and mashing them a little bit at the end. There is a bass clef solo that comes in and out of the entire chart. The arrangement is full of vocal moments and opportunities for visual ones and the dance break is a great place to showcase your band’s funky side. This arrangement was originally written for Perpetual Motion from Ankeny High School in Iowa for their Little Red Riding Hood set.

The track features Brian McCallister & Ines Cring on vocals and Alec McKeska on guitar.

This arrangement, and more than 150 other new ones, will go live in my catalog on March 1st, which is just a week away!

New Arrangement – Fire/Fire Alarm

Today’s new for 2023 chart is a mashup of Fire by Barnes Courtney and Fire Alarm by Castlecomer.

This SATB arrangement could open or close a show. The chart begins with the more stylistic Fire before the tempo picks up into Fire Alarm. Fire Alarm features a bass clef solo and plenty of dance break opportunities. The vocal harmonies are tight throughout and the band parts are, well, fire! This arrangement was originally written for The Good Time Company from Iowa City West High School in Iowa.

The track features Brian McCallister & Ines Cring on vocals, and Steve Cochran on guitar.

This chart, and more than 150 other new ones, go live in the catalog on March 1st.

New Arrangement – Coming Up For No Air

Got another Friday New Release! This idea has been in my brain almost 15 years – in fact, the Sibelius file was started in 2009. I’ve come back to it a few times over the years – adding a little bit, but never finished it – until this week.

This is an SATB opener that combines Coming Up For Air by Storm Lee and No Air by Jordin Sparks. There aren’t any vocals solos (there is an optional guitar solo in the dance break), but it opens with a vocal moment and there are vocal moments throughout the entire chart. The arrangement is mostly the Storm Lee song, but after the middle dance break it pulls back into No Air for a bit of a breather (no pun intended) before it key changes back into a final chorus of Coming Up For Air. This arrangement is new and has never been performed – your choir could be the first!

The track features Ines Cring & Brian McCallister on vocals and Steve Cochran on guitar.

Enjoy!
